Seasonal variations and diel migrations in acoustically measured zooplankton in the Bering Sea

As the culminations of my undergraduate acoustics work, I elected to shift my focus from freshwater lakes to the zooplankton of the Bering Sea as part of the ongoing NOAA sanctioned monitoring by Dr. Jennifer Miksis-Olds.

We were able to see drastic biomass differences between the size classes, including some interesting correlations with the presence and absence of sea ice cover.
