Analysis of fish activity around artificial structures in Sayers Lake using active acoustics

With my first introductions to acoustics, I completed this project using data from Laura Madden's masters thesis in Dr. Jennifer Miksis-Olds lab.  Here we were analyzing the fish activity around artificial reefs that the PA Fish and Boat commission installed in F.J. Sayers Lake in Howard, PA.

We were able to see clear diurnal activity.  Much of the activity took place around dusk and dawn with a slight increase in activity around noon of the days of the sampling period.
