Coral Restoration of the Florida Reef Tract
Stressors like disease and bleaching are adversely affecting corals off the coast of the Florida Keys. Restoration efforts of Acropora cervicornis are underway by various government and NGOs. Part of the niche we fill at FWC is to research methods of improving A. cervicornis outplanting efficiency. The work we've done at FWC focuses on experimental outplants of A. cervicornis and non-Acroporid species in the middle keys.
